Enhance Your Storytelling is a live-taught, 16-week craft program built around a focused, repeatable learning cycle—designed to help writers not just learn techniques, but use them intentionally and know when they’re working.

Each unit follows the same rhythm, so the work stays clear, practical, and transferable.

1. Learn How the Technique Shapes Reader Experience

(Live Teaching Session · 2 hours)

Each unit begins with a live craft lesson focused on a single storytelling technique—what it does on the page, how it affects the reader, and when it’s actually useful.

Rather than collecting rules, you’ll learn:

what kind of experience the technique creates
what it helps orient or immerse
where it commonly breaks down

2. Test the Technique Without Pressure

After the teaching session, you’ll try the technique in a short, focused exercise.

This is about testing your understanding, not producing polished work.

You can use Trevor Assistant for quick, technique-specific feedback to check whether the writing is doing what you intend—before moving into revision.

3. Learn How to Evaluate and Revise

(Live Revision & Application Session · 60–75 minutes)

This is where the learning locks in.

In the live revision session, we focus on how writers read their own work to decide what to do next.

Together, we look at:

how the technique shows up in actual writing
how to tell when it’s effective—or not
where attention sharpens or drifts
how to revise with intention instead of guesswork

This step is about learning how to repair and strengthen existing work, not constantly starting over—which is what builds long-term confidence and control.

4. Apply the Technique More Fully (Your Way)

After the revision session, you’ll receive a suggested assignment to apply the technique at a deeper level.

You choose how much support you want:

work independently
use Trevor Assistant for targeted feedback
book a private sessionor share the work in your PFG for reader-focused feedback (Write Things Community members)

5. Personalized Story Development Support

Each unit runs over two weeks and follows a consistent, sustainable rhythm:

Week 1 — Learn & Try It Out

2-hour live teaching session
You’ll learn the technique in depth with examples and discussion.
15–30 minutes of low-stakes practice
You’ll apply the technique in a short, focused 50-word exercise, designed to help you experiment without pressure.
You can use Trevor Assistant for quick, targeted feedback if you’d like.

Week 2 — Revise & Apply

60–75 minute live revision session
This session focuses on how to recognize the technique in your writing and how to revise intentionally using what you learned in Week 1.
Optional deeper application (1–2 hours)
After the session, you’ll receive a suggested assignment where you can apply the technique more fully.
You can:
- work independently at your own pace

Throughout the course, you can submit your writing to Trevor Assistant for detailed, technique-focused feedback aligned with the unit you’re working on.

Submit up to 1,000 words at a time
Receive feedback grounded in the exact craft principles being taught
Available 24/7, so you don’t have to wait for class or a meeting

This is especially useful for:

testing ideas
revising scenes
checking whether you’re applying a technique effectively
getting clarity between sessions

Many writers use Trevor Assistant as their first line of feedback before going deeper.

2. Learning through live revision & application sessions

Each unit includes a live Revision & Application session where we focus on how to apply the technique in real writing.
