Most writers spend about 2–3 hours per week on Enhance Your Storytelling.

The course is designed to fit into real lives — with focused sessions, low-pressure practice, and flexible application time.

Each unit runs over two weeks and follows a consistent, sustainable rhythm:

Week 1 — Learn & Try It Out

• 2-hour live teaching session
  You’ll learn the technique in depth with examples and discussion.

• 15–30 minutes of low-stakes practice
  You’ll apply the technique in a short, focused 50-word exercise, designed to help you experiment without pressure.
  You can use Trevor Assistant for quick, targeted feedback if you’d like.

Week 2 — Revise & Apply

• 60–75 minute live revision session
  This session focuses on how to recognize the technique in your writing and how to revise intentionally using what you learned in Week 1.

• Optional deeper application (1–2 hours)
  After the session, you’ll receive a suggested assignment where you can apply the technique more fully.
  You can:

  • work independently at your own pace

  • use Trevor Assistant for targeted, technique-specific feedback

  • bring your work to one of your 1-hour private sessions with Trevor for direct guidance

  • share your work with your PFG for feedback (available to Write Things Community members)

This is where understanding turns into skill.

Yes — feedback is a core part of Enhance Your Storytelling, and it’s designed to support you at every stage of the learning process.

You’ll have multiple ways to get feedback, depending on what you’re working on and how you prefer to learn.

1. Technique-specific feedback through Trevor Assistant

Throughout the course, you can submit your writing to Trevor Assistant for detailed, technique-focused feedback aligned with the unit you’re working on.

• Submit up to 1,000 words at a time

• Receive feedback grounded in the exact craft principles being taught

• Available 24/7, so you don’t have to wait for class or a meeting

This is especially useful for:

• testing ideas

• revising scenes

• checking whether you’re applying a technique effectively

• getting clarity between sessions

Many writers use Trevor Assistant as their first line of feedback before going deeper.

2. Learning through live revision & application sessions

Each unit includes a live Revision & Application session where we focus on how to apply the technique in real writing.

In these sessions, I:

• walk through examples

• explain how to recognize the technique in a draft

• demonstrate how to revise with intention

• answer questions that help you see your own work more clearly

This isn’t feedback on individual pieces — it’s teaching you how to evaluate and improve your own writing, which is where long-term confidence comes from.

3. Personalized feedback in your Story Development Intensives (1:1)

You’ll also receive four 60-minute Story Development Intensives with me.

In these sessions, you can bring up to 1,200 words of your writing, and we’ll work directly with your material to:

• identify what’s working and why

• spot high-impact revision opportunities

• apply course techniques to your specific piece

• navigate story or craft challenges

• clarify your next steps

These sessions are tailored entirely to you and where you are in your writing, and they’re often where writers experience their biggest breakthroughs.

Optional community feedback (for Write Things Community members)

If you’re part of the Write Things Community, you can also choose to share your work with your PFG for reader-based feedback using prompts I provide.

This is optional and meant to complement the other feedback options — not replace them.

You’ll see exactly when the live teaching sessions and review sessions take place, so you always know what’s coming next.

4. You’ll get a simple orientation so nothing feels overwhelming

I’ll show you how the course works, how to submit your writing, and how to use Trevor Assistant so you always know what to do each week.

5. You’ll have lifetime access to all materials
