This community is a place for new and seasoned writers to learn and develop their understanding of the creative process, the art of storytelling, and how to be a successful writer. It will teach you how to write, and support you to reach your writing goals. 

This community will become a place of learning, creativity, connection, and support for overcoming all of the obstacles that appear when we pick up a pen to write.

What You'll Get Each Month

• Technique Deep Dive -  Recorded teaching session that includes:
• In-depth exploration of specific writing techniques that can be used to enhance your writing 
• Definitions, examples, tips for how and when to apply these techniques in your stories 
• Assignments designed to focus writing for the month and develop your understanding of techniques

• Guided Quick Writing - Live and recorded quick writing and sharing session:
• Receive quick writing prompts designed to inspire writing and original stories using the techniques from the Deep Dive session
• Share and experience the writing of other community members to develop confidence, connection, and new perspectives and ideas
• Opportunity to ask questions about technique, structure, and any other parts of the writing process
• The Write Mindset  - Live and recorded discussion about the mindset behind a successful manuscript:
• Learn about the power of our personal stories and the authority we have over them
• Explore the creative process and how the inner critic sabotages our connection to it
• Identify the roadblocks that have held you back from writing or completing your manuscripts 
  
• Share your current challenges and receive coaching support and insights from other writers
• Editing Walkthrough - Live and recorded professional edit of a community member’s piece:
• Walk through a professional substantive edit of an original piece crafted by a community  member
• Take part in a discussion and Q&A about the process
• Familiarize yourself with the editing process so that you're ready mentally and emotionally to make the most of the process
• Learn about the different types of edits available and when it's time to bring on an editor 
• Writing Sprint Sessions - Live opportunities to write with fellow community members:
• Great for motivation and connection during the writing process
• Opportunities to ask questions and discuss struggles while writing between sessions
• Bonus Sessions - Throughout the month, new sessions will be offered. Previous sessions include:
• Live & recorded social media support for writers looking to develop a following to market their writing
• Live online sharing sessions where you and other community members can gather to share 500-600 word pieces of your writing. Feedback is optional but always positive and supportive unless otherwise requested.
